Bristol & District Lady Golfers' Alliance

ALLIANCE LEAGUE RULES & REGULATIONS
The most recent version of our Rules and Regulations has been updated at the
AGM on 12th November 2025

Please click on the links below for pdfs of the Rules and our current policies on Use of Buggies and Playing with Dementia. Our current policies cover situations that may occur within our Alliance. These will vary as each golfer will have unique requirements, but the basis is the same - that each golfer has access to the game at the level of her ability. If she qualifies for the Alliance Team in her club, then she should be enabled to play with support. These policies have been discussed with, and approved by, the paralegal staff at England Golf.

We have added a couple of England Golf Policies to support Team Captains in regard to conduct on the course, including a Code of Contact for Parents to support young girls under the age of 16 playing in the Alliance.

The BDLGA positively encourages young people to play in the Alliance providing the code of conduct in golf is followed, however,
each Club has their own code of conduct, if there is an issue in a team match it is the responsibility of the individuals' club to deal with any issues.

Before a match is played we advise Team Captains should contact their opposing Team Captain to inform them of any young person under the age of 16 playing in the team and if they will be chaperoned during the match.

Members who are attached to two Golf Clubs
We have checked with England Golf and a golfer can only have 1 home Club in GB&I. Ladies must elect a home club before playing in the Alliance.
